What is it?
XMPI is run/debug graphical user interface for MPI, originally
developed by the LAM project
at the Ohio State University. Currently, the Indiana University XMPI
team is continuing development of the project.
Supported platforms
XMPI 2.2 is supported for use with LAM/MPI version 6.3.2
MPI library on all platforms that LAM 6.3.2 supports.
XMPI 2.1.2 is supported for use with
LAM/MPI version 6.2b (which is no longer available)
MPI library on all platforms that LAM 6.2b supports.
There is no further development work planned for this version of XMPI.
XMPI provides an API to facilitate its porting to MPI environments
other than the one provided by LAM/MPI. Currently Hewlett-Packard
Co. and Silicon Graphics, Inc. include support for XMPI in their MPI
products. If you would like to use XMPI with an MPI library other
than LAM's, please contact the appropriate vendor for further
information.
