Hi Alex, I'm working in Argentina doing similar work with hydraulics applications. What I think you might be interested in is a tool like PGI from the Portland Group. It allows you to perform profiling of applications( e.g., to identify the "hot spots" in your app).
Tell me more about your project, the architecture of the cluster, the nodes, the network, the compiler used, the fortran version, etc.

Cheers, Alberto.

BTW: I was working on the optimization of RMA2.

Subject: XMPI: g95 Support?
Hello,

I am a researcher down in Miami, working on WRF, a weather modeling framework. I need to do some profiling and I was contemplating the use of XMPI. Does XMPI support Fortran90, OpenMP, and g95?  I've looked around through various documentation, but haven't been able to find any definite answers.  Thanks!

XMPI is a profiling tool for any LAM/MPI application.  The only
profiling information it provides is with regards to the behavior of
LAM (message transfer times, when receives are posted, etc.).  It
does not give you any information about how your application is
spending it's time outside of the MPI library, and therefore is
language agnostic.
