Hi.
I've just installed xmpi for the first time on RedHat Linux 7.2,
2.4.7-10smp.
I downloaded and installed lesstif-0.93.91. I did not use an rpm as I
had to install this in my homedir, but made and installed it.
Then I got the new lam-7.0.2 and configured it with the --with-trillium
flag, made and installed it. I can lamboot and run mpi programs.

I got xmpi-2.2.3b8 and configured it with:
 configure --prefix=/home/katie/usr/local/xmpi-2.2.3.b8
--with-motif=/home/katie/usr/local/lesstif
--with-motif-includes=/home/katie/usr/local/lesstif/include
--with-motif-libs=/home/katie/usr/local/lesstif/lib

I made and installed it. It seemed to go well. I didn't see any errors.
However, when I try to invoke xmpi, I get:

[katie]$ xmpi
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "plum"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry, some colors may be incorrect
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "slateblue"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "lightslateblue"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "darkslateblue"

Major opcode of failed request: 14 (X_GetGeometry)
Resource id in failed request: 0x0

Current serial number in output stream: 299

Does anybody know what my problem might be?

Thank you,

Katie
