I was able to get around this by changing the gid on the node, but as I have mentioned
to Jeff, it is probable that users from differing groups will want to run on an SMP node, so
it would be nice to enable the 'other execute permissions'

I was just pointing out to a collegue that one of the amazing things about the opensource
community is the ease of which you can talk to the core people working on a project,
thanks for the assistance.

Many thanks for the info. I have compiled and installed the latest CVS

tarball on a
2 node bproc 3.2.4 test cluster. When I run lamboot I get the below
result, even
though I can run use bpsh to issue other commands on node 0. Any
ideas.

Yeah -- most likely my fault :) What does bpstat say for you ?

I am guessing that the nodes are --x--x--x and not under your group or
user ? Jeff & Brian -- I think I forgot to add the 'check for other people
executable bit' test in verify_nodes.
