Noah,
I'm not very familiar with the Mac OS X installer package, but it's easy enough to compile and install from source.  You might try going about it that way.  Also, there's a shareware utility called Pacifist that is very helpful for dealing with .pkg files.  Check it out here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12743
Using that, you can see where it wants to put the packages, and you might be able to force it to install.

Hope this helps,

I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.7, and we've rebuilt our OS and added 30 nodes to our cluster and figured this was as good of a time as any to upgrade LAM-MPI.  I have downloaded the package, installed it, but when running the 'laminfo' command it indicates that 7.0.6 is still installed and nothing is copied to /usr/local despite perms being correct to install.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
