when i run the following commands .. it gives error as shown..
it does mean i have to boot lam on all machines right ??
does'nt mpi need lam to run on multiple computers?? or can it run
independently ??
shell$: mpicc hello_c.c -o hello_c.o
shell$: mpirun hello_c.o
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems that there is no lamd running on the host cpusrv-xeon-45.
This indicates that the LAM/MPI runtime environment is not operating.
The LAM/MPI runtime environment is necessary for the "mpirun" command.
Please run the "lamboot" command the start the LAM/MPI runtime
environment. See the LAM/MPI documentation for how to invoke
"lamboot" across multiple machines.
