IIRC, the man page for mpirun and/or the LAM/MPI user's guide have
descriptions of how to use app schemas. It's been quite a while since
I've checked those, though. There may even be examples in the FAQ...?
As noted, if you're just starting with MPI, you would be [much] better
to use Open MPI -- there's no developers left on LAM/MPI anymore. All
of us are working on Open MPI these days (and have been for a few
years).
