LAM/MPI has a two-stage boot/run infrastructure, where lamboot is used
to create the run-time environment and specify which machines are
available. The output when you try the above command is because
mpirun doesn't have a --machinefile option in LAM/MPI, as that's part
of the run-time startup. Have a look at the LAM/MPI user's guide for
