Some guys at HLRS (High Perf. Computing Center at U. Stuttgart/
Germany) are working on native Windows support (not Cygwin). I think
they've dragged some other guys from U. Tennessee into it as well. :-)
Windows support will not be included in the upcoming OMPI v1.3.0, but
it might happen in the not-too-far-distant future beyond that. You
might want to ask this question on the OMPI users list to see where
exactly these guys are, etc. -- I don't really want to speak for them...
