It looks like you're using a different MPI implementation with the LAM
tests suite. IIRC, that test uses a hidden/internal LAM data
structure that will likely not be present in other MPI implementations.

Check your path to ensure that LAM's wrapper compilers are *first*
(e.g., do "which mpicc" and see which one it finds).
