Ah -- you might be correct here; shows how much I'm paying attention
to the LAM list these days (sidenote: have you tried Open MPI? LAM is
being deprecated and replaced with Open MPI -- www.open-mpi.org).
I have a dim recollection that Brian posted a LAM beta with the
configure test fixes, if that helps you. Or migrate to Open MPI. ;-)
