Dear All,
Hi,
I have already raised a request for help for my query in which if the main
executable scrip has:

#!/bin/sh
#PBS -l nodes=2:ppn=2
#PBS -l walltime=100:00:00
lamboot -v
cd /data/rundir
#mpirun -ssi rpi sysv -np 4 exefile <input > output

It has been running with the same as above perfectly fine until recently.
Now it gives an error with it as being unable to mpi_init in one of the
process.
However if I remove the ' -ssi rpi sysv ' from last line it is running
okay.

My Question: I am not clear about the role ' -ssi rpi sysv '. By reading
documentation about ssi-overview, my understanding is that if I am not using
-ssi rpi with either sysv or usysv, LAM and MPI routines will work as
usual. Difference is that LAM may export multiple instances of a system
interface and '-ssi rpi sysv' will be making the decision as which one to
choose at run time. So, their exclusion of '-ssi rpi sysv' may make the
program to go unstable. Is my understanding correct?

Thanks very much for your guidance.
Best regards,
ND
