Hi,
I want to build LAM 7.1.4 with for Infiniband under Linux (Scientific
Linux 4.5 x86_64) on SuperMicro servers.
My question is : where to find Mellanox Verbs API (mVAPI) ? The
'./configure' fails with 'Cannot find working libvapi'.
I don't understand how OpenIB or OFED could help.
I am new to Infiniband and I would like to start first with LAM under
infiniband. All our MPI applications
(Computational Chemistry) are running on TCP/IP. We would like to build
an IB cluster for these applications.
There are compiled with LAM or MPICH2.
Following is the configure command I have tried to build LAM for IB :
# ./configure CC=pgcc CFLAGS=-O CXX=pgCC CXXFLAGS=-O FC=pgf77 FFLAGS=-O
--prefix=/nfs1/scratch/diarra/lam-7.1.4-pgi_x86_64 --with-rpi=sysv
--with-threads=posix --enable-shared --with-modules=boot,rpi
...
checking for VAPI_open_hca in -lvapi... no
configure: error: *** Cannot find working libvapi.
I am sorry in advance, if this is a too simple question or if the answer
is on the mail archive. I ensure you that I have tried first to
find the solution by myself.
Thanks,
Christophe.
