Hi there;
Many thanks Jeff for your reply.
 I am just a user not familiar with LAM and because of that I couldn't solve
the problem I am having and I have looked throuh most of LAM doucomentation but I did not find what doese
MPI_Reduce mean.
I am still have trouble running the model on multiple CPUs although I got it run on a
single CPU. I got this error message:

MPI_Reduce: invalid operation: Invalid argument (rank 0,
 MPI_COMM_WORLD)
 Rank (0, MPI_COMM_WORLD): Call stack within LAM:
Rank (0, MPI_COMM_WORLD): - MPI_Reduce()
Rank (0, MPI_COMM_WORLD): - main()

Can anyone tell me what is the function of MPI-REDUCE and how I fix this problem .Also, I have mpicc,
mpiCC and mpif77 instead of mpif90.Do I need necessarily mpif90 or both of them can perform
the same function?

Many thanks for your assistance in advance
