Hello!

I have to compile lam-6.5.9 (not 7.x.x as PC Gamess that I have to use on SMP systen works only with 6.5.9 version).
I run Ubuntu 7.10 amd-64 version on workstation with Intel Core 2 Quad CPU.
I have gcc-4.4.1.2, g++-4.4.1.2, g77-4.3.4.6 installed in the system.

How can I compile this lam version? Probably I'll need to compile both 64-bit and 32-bit versions.

I tried to use CFLAGS, CXXFLAGS, FFLAGS, LDFLAGS "-march=nocona -O2 -pipe", "-march=prescott -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" and noflags also.
Either I'm getting error while run configure script or while make or lamtest gives errors (but lam-mpi was successfully installed).

Which flags have I to use in order to compile working binaries (in both cases)?

Best regards,
