You haven't given enough information. This may go outside the range of
the lam FAQ (you should have checked and told us if this is the case).
If you want to remove a copy of lam which was installed under rpm, you could
rpm -qa | grep lam
and then
rpm -e <list of lam installations to be removed>.

If you are replacing a lam installation under rpm, the rpm options
should take care of it.
If you built lam yourself, now you know why you should have installed it
in a separate directory of its own.
