LAM does not completely support the Cygwin environment, and it
appears that the version of ROMIO included with LAM does not build
properly on Cygwin. We are unlikely to fix this, given the limited
resources we are putting into LAM/MPI at this time. Unless you need
MPI I/O support, you may have luck building LAM by specifying the --
without-romio option to configure.
