Suppose you have machines m1 and m2, with IPs 192.168.1.23 and
92.168.1.24. Your /etc/hosts should have antries like (beware: these
entries should be in the etc/hosts of both m1 and m2, as m1 must be
able to access m2, and m2 must be able to access m1)

m1 192.168.1.23
m2 192.168.1.24

and your lamb-host.def could be (lamb-host.def need only be in the
machine from where you execute lamboot)

m1 cpu=2
m2 cpu=2

or

192.168.1.23 cpu=3
192.168.1.24 cpu=4

and you should issue the "lamboot -v lamb-host.def" from either m1 or m2.

HTH,

R.
