I'm not sure why you aren't getting threading support. However, it
should be perfectly safe to compile LAM on cygwin with the --without-
threads option.
As for the System V shared memory and semaphores, I believe there is
a Cygwin package that must be installed in order for that support to
work properly. Unfortunately, I don't know what the package name is,
and the developer that did the Cygwin support for LAM/MPI has long
since moved on.
