These will not do anything -- you need to put the -x options on the
command line that launches your app.

> mpirun -np 4 -v $TEST/$TARGETSYSTEM/test-mpi.exe

In particular, you need to do this:

mpirun -np 4 -v -xINBOUND,INMESH,...alltherest... $TEST/$TARGETSYSTEM/
test-mpi.exe

One common problem for everyone getting rank 0 is when you
accidentally compile your MPI app against a different MPI
implementation and then run it with LAM. Can you verify if you're
compiling and running with exactly the same version of LAM everywhere?
