You should probably direct the question to linux-net mailing list or
maybe something specific to the Linux distribution that you are using.
There is nothing MPI specific (let alone LAM/MPI !) in your
question...

Then maybe the daemon is not reading properly the status... When using
static IP (so no DHCP), I was able to use bonding without problems,
including the event of one of the cables being disconnected.
