In case it helps anyone in the future⦠It seems that the problem has
something to do with the specific optimization level used by lam (-O)
and the Xeon processor I was compiling to. On other architectures, or
with either more or less optimization (e.g. either -O0 or -fast), it
compiles more-or-less fine. The only issue after that was renaming a
static local variable that got confused with a global (I forget which
file that was in), and it compiled just fine.
