I did a search for liblam on the web page and it didn't return anything (even though there is a thread entitled: "Jeff Squyres \(jsquyres\): "Re: LAM: liblam.so is not linked to libutil on Linux" ", which I checked and seems unrelated to my problem). Attached is the compressed configure.log file and the following is the error message (not much ;) ):
