I am trying to run LAM as root in a cluster of simulated machines using
Simics full platform simulator. These machines are connected by a custom
interconection network simulator.
The MPI applications run in the cluster of simulated machines need to run
with the CAP_NET_RAW capability to use raw sockets, and then to be run as
root.
I have tried to define the LAM_ALLOW_RUN_AS_ROOT in
share/include/lam_config.h but it doesn't work. I haven't be able to run
lamboot. I have also tried to put it directly in the top Makefile but it
neither works.
I have tried to run my program as a normal user but the mpi application
needs the capability and I haven't got to work using execcap and sucap
utilities.
Any help, please?
