Yes, this is possible. Use the "-ssi rpi lamd" option to mpirun (note
that lamboot, however, will still use TCP during its setup phase).
Note, however, that this option will definitely give you lower
performance than using the TCP connections -- see the FAQ for more
information about this.

They already do (i.e., all lamd-to-lamd communication uses UDP).
