I.ve tried to install Rmpi using lam-mpi in a ibm cluster.
I installed R without readline (suse has installed readline4)

./configure –with-readline=no

In the master server x86_64 Ive installed lam-7.1.2
Using

    ./configure --enable-shared --disable-static
(seems work well)

Becuase Rmpi a compilation problem

Finally Rmpi
/usr/local/lib64/R/bin/R CMD INSTALL
Rmpi_0.5-2.tar.gz--configure-args=--with-mpi=/usr/local/
(it finally compille well)

But when I tryed to load de Rmpi library in R, it doesn't work
With this error:

> library(Rmpi)
Error in dyn.load(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now)) :
        unable to load shared library
'/usr/local/lib64/R/library/Rmpi/libs/Rmpi.so':
  /usr/local/lib/liblam.so.0: undefined symbol: openpty
Error in library(Rmpi) : .First.lib failed for 'Rmpi'
Error in dyn.unload(x) : dynamic/shared library
'/usr/local/lib64/R/library/Rmpi/libs/Rmpi.so' was not loaded
>

May give me some advise
