I'm not familiar with Gadget2 -- is it an MPI application? I'm not
sure which version of LAM/MPI you are using. If you are using a
recent version, the only thing I can think of is that the application
tried to close stdout or stderr, which could possibly cause these
issues. It would be helpful to have more information about the setup
that causes this problem.
