Hi Brian,
  Thanks for the info.
  That was cool.

If no topology of intercommunicators in MPI, then can i create my own with non-MPI processes?

I want to really know, whether a MPI process can be able to communicate with non MPI process? Is there any way?

I need inter communicator for sure. I need intra only for topology sake. Inter communicator also for topology. Can u suggest me any ways i can get that with MPI? Any suggestions in this regard can be helpful.

  Thanks in advance!

  Regards,
  Imran

With Intracommunicators, you may be able to use the Topology
functions from MPI-1 to meet your needs. There is no equivalent for
inter communicators, so you're kind of left at the whim of the MPI
implementation as to how the processes are laid out. However, in
either case, there isn't a lot that LAM/MPI is going to be able to do
with the topology functions, and even less that will be exposed to
the user after the fact.
