Hi Brian,
Thanks for the pointers - this is what I ended up with:
My testpbs script is:
source /opt/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifortvars.sh
source /opt/intel/cce/9.0/bin/iccvars.sh
PATH="/usr/local/lam-7.1.2_intel/bin:$PATH";export PATH
mpiexec -boot -prefix $PREFIX /usr/local/lam-7.1.2_intel -boot-args "-c
/usr/local/lam-7.1.2_intel/etc/lam-conf.lamd -ssi boot tm" : C
/usr/local/lam-7.1.2_intel/examples/hello/hello

I can submit it to the cluster with PBS
qsub -l nodes=4 testpbs

and my technical data is:
Hello, world! I am 1 of 4
Hello, world! I am 0 of 4
Hello, world! I am 2 of 4
Hello, world! I am 3 of 4

Thanks!
