Is there a possibility of adding this to the platform-specific FAQ? It is a
really simple matter to turn off the firewall for the time that one is using
lam and then re-enable it.

Also, since the firewall comes with the default being on (and no reason on a
regular basis to turn it off), it might be helpful to add this step into the
installation on macos (with appropriate dire warnings about security--I am
behind several other firewalls, so I'm not terribly concerned), also, as
there is no way that lam-mpi will run with the firewall in its default
configuration as far as I can tell.
