These 2 lines are mismatched. The error message comes from the MPICH
library, not from LAM/MPI. You probably have both MPI libraries
installed and have messed up paths and environment settings, in which
case such error messages are perfectly explainable. Try removing one
of them and start from scratch with compilation and installation of
your program.
