This is looking for file like $LAMHOME/etc/lam-conf.lamd.

... and this is also related to not being able to access a file.

Is the installation shared via NFS ? If yes, are all the mount points
the same ? (and are they actually mounted on all nodes ?). If not, are
they installed in the same location on all nodes ? In any case, is the
user trying to start the LAM job allowed to access these files ?
