I tried with a new source tree, I am attaching the complete output from configure, together with the top-level config.log file. I have just realized the share/libltdl/config.log I sent you actually comes from a different installation (I am also trying on a laptop), sorry.
This installation does produce a share/libltdl directory, but there is no config.log file there. In the previous case I installed in the same directory that contained the original tar file, which I don't think is a good idea, I am now setting prefix to a different one.
Anyways, I am also trying to install on linux.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Federico
