Your config.log file seems to indicate that everything was configured
successfully. I'm a bit confused as to what could be happening that
configure thinks it stamped out all the makefiles, but you see an
error before that step. Could you try from a completely new source
tree (remove the one you have and untar from the tarball again) and
re-run configure, saving the output from configure. If you do get an
error, send us the complete output of configure (standard output and
standard error) and the config.log files from both the top level and
share/libltdl? Please compress the files, as they will not be small.
