I am new to LAM-MPI, and am trying to install it from lam-7.2b1r10255.tar on WinXP+SP2 using cygwin.
I am experiencing some problems that prevent me from correctly running the configure script:
*** GNU libltdl setup
grep: share/libltdl/Makefile: No such file or directory
checking for libtool-supplied linker flags... ./configure: line 42967: cd: share/libltdl: No such file or directory
libtool error!
configure: error: Cannot continue
I don't know whether this is relevant or not, but I also get the following warning message from configure, even if ipc-daemon2 is actually running, and libcygipc.a and libcygipc.dll.a are present in the lib directory:

I have gone through some installation-related materials on the lam-mpi website, and am a bit confused about what the correct procedure for cygwin installation is.
I would be very grateful if anyone could help me with this.
