Sorry, for wasting your time because this was hardware problem. I have
these infamous dge528t gigabit cards on the nodes. I had upgraded to
2.4.32 kernel (without Mosix) but still had the same problem. After that
I have removed the driver which came on CD with the cards and slightly
patched the rtl8169 driver from kernel source tree. This solves the
problem. I have not yet tested it with Mosix because I have not decided
yet have I to downgrade to 2.4.26 or install new kernel version (2.6.x).
