MPICH is a different implementation of MPI; this list is for the
support of LAM/MPI. Specifically, MPI is a standard -- there are
multiple different implementations of it. LAM/MPI and MPICH are two
such implementations.
We cannot answer questions about MPICH; you should direct questions
about MPICH to them. Specifically -- I have no idea if MPICH has the
c2f and f2c functions or not.

This is a fine thing to do, as long as you are careful about it (that
was what my first reply was directly implying, actually). Language
interoperability isn't really within the scope of this list (and it's a
complicated topic) -- I would suggest that you google around to find
some Fortran <--> interoperability tutorials.
