It looks like you made the --prefix be the same as the source directory. You should make those different; then everything should be fine (e.g., /opt/lam-7.1.1 or /root/lam-7.1.1/install, etc.).
Also, I'd strongly recommend the latest beta of 7.1.2 -- there have been a lot of fixes since 7.1.1 (including some IB fixes). See
