LAM/MPI has been tested with Myrinet/GM and InfiniBand (mvapi).
Performance will be better (both single peer set and scalability)
with Myrinet/GM than our IB implementation. We've tested both on
clusters running 10.3. We see no reason why they wouldn't work on
10.4, but that has not been as well tested (our cluster is just now
being updated to 10.4).

Looking down the road to Open MPI, the IB implementation will be
catching up and we will be adding support for Myrinet/MX on OS X.
