I think that you need something like:
mpirun -s n0 C rotate
where n0 is the node id in the LAM/MPI virtual parallel machine that
you created with lamboot and not the real name of the machine. With
version 7.0.3, if I try to specify the real name of the machine
(nodeNNN), I get the error:
mpirun: cannot parse: bad ascii number
It's a bit unfortunate that, in your setup, you call the real machines
with "nX" names which exactly correspond to the LAM/MPI naming scheme,
so some confusion (for you and/or the LAM/MPI utilities) may arise...
