I recall reading that --enable-shared --without-romio
options were required to make shared libraries.

Subject: LAM: compiling lam-mpi 7.1.1 with icc 8.1 problem

Hi, all,

I've attached the config.log and its output in my attempt to compile
LAM-MPI 7.1.1 from source using Intel compiler 8.1.

In the end, my MPI application is looking for liblamf77mpi.so.0, which
isn't found in /opt/lam_711/lib. This file is present in
/opt/lam/intel/lib in the downloaded RPM package.

I noticed a few errors in the configure.log, and some errors from ifort
about file not found. But I'm not sure how to interpret the errors.

Am I missing some options that's causing the missing liblamf77mpi.so.0?
