LAM/MPI (all versions, actually) does not integrate tightly with Load
Leveler (as we do with PBS-derived systems, SLURM, and SGE). To be
honest, we've never had enough interest in either a Load Leveler
scheduler integration or LAPI RPI (until recently, it only made sense
to do both if you were going to do one of them) to make it worth
doing the port. Since LAM/MPI is slowly entering a maintenance mode,
it is unlikely the main developers will be adding support in the near
future (but we'll always take patches!).
It is likely that there will be support for both Load Leveler and
LAPI in Open MPI sometime after the 1.0 release, as one of the
project members is very interested in supporting the IBM SP environment.
