In a batch environment, the jobs are not free to choose their nodes as
they will - they get one or more nodes as decided by the scheduler and
that's it. It's possible however to start a LAM universe on a subset
of these nodes and to want to expand it later up to the total number
of nodes allocated, in which case the process start-up mechanism of
the batch environment could be used.

No, you can write such a script for yourself by taking into
consideration the particular setup of your computers. A generic
solution is not offered here.
