You will want to check out Absoft's patches to Modules available
on the modules mailing list that allow you to save whatever module
configuration you currently have and persist it across the
cluster via the "savemodules" and "unsavemodules" extensions.
We also have sent to the mailing list quite a slew of patches including
fixes for keeping aliases preserved with save/unsave, RHEL4 segfault
issues, auto-complete, some security problems and some other stuff.
If you use OS X we also have a Dashboard widget that can graphically
allow you to pick and choose modules, included with our HPC SDK's
that is pretty cool.
