Actual transcript from a call to a doctor's office:
Doc: "Dr. Rosenrosen speaking."
Patient: "Hey Doc, it hurts when I go like this."
<pause>
Patient: "What do you think it is?"
:-)
The moral of the story here is that we really need more information in
order to help you. Can you tell us more about how you are running,
such as:
- do you have a batch system?
- how did you run lamboot?
- did lamboot run successfully?
- can you run "lamnodes" on the node where you ran lamboot?
- can you run "lamnodes" on any other node that was lambooted?
- ...
In short, we're not there to see the screen with you, so please provide
as much detail as possible.
Check out the "Getting Help" section on the LAM web site
(http://www.lam-mpi.org/using/support/) for some tips on how to report
problems. Cut-n-paste of terminal sessions are most helpful for cases
like this (if they get large, please compress!).
Thanks!
