Hello,
I ran afoul of the lack of Fortran support in the disk image as well.
There's a pretty good document which will get you started at
http://www.lam-mpi.org/using/docs/
ping the Lam/MPI Installation Guide, which will bring down a pdf file
entitled:
7.1.1-install.pdf
Given the woes I just had. I'd recommend going with a newer 7.1.2 beta
version in stead of 7.1.1, however, the configuration/install shouldn't be
too different. The pdf file should have som ein do o n where to download
a source tarball, though there's a download link of the LAM/MPI web page.
Once you manage to unzip and untar a source tarball, you'll have to
configure it to use the Fortran compiler:
configure --with-fc=FC
where FC stands for the path of your Fortran compiler. If I understand it
correctly, OS X doesn't have a default Fortran compiler (hence the reason
why the disk image doesn't include one). We bought the IBM xlf compiler
for our login OS X node, but you might be able to use a Gnu compiler.
