I think what happened is that LAM decided not to build the Totalview
support library, and therefore that tar statement failed at the end
because one of the files that it expected did not exist.

We actually used a different scheme for this in the 7.1.1 SRPM -- can
you use that? Or are you using 7.0.6 for a specific reason?
