Hello,

I came across the same problem and couldn't find answer in the list, had
dug the bottom of the issue.

In case you didn't get an answer yet, romio's util/tarch is failing to
get the $ARCH properly on certain platforms.

Workaround: Run top level configure with
'--with-romio-flags=-arch=solaris86' option (solaris x86 is my case.)
