I keep forgetting .. which libtool version was it again that was shipped
with LAM-7.1.1? (Go to $top_builddir and execute ./libtool --version).
We fixed some problems on Solaris recently in Libtool.

Of special interest (if only to assert that it was the bug I suspect)
would be the command line that was issued to create liblam (both the
"./libtool --mode=link .." line and whatever libtool outputs).
Jeff, if you plan to release another LAM version soon, please wait for
the next Libtool release (due hopefully this weekend).
