Actually, that was a good point, since I was rm *.o (since for some
reason 'make clean' removed all of the .c files, maybe since the mac is
somewhat case agnostic).
However, removing *.C and rebuilding still gave the same errors when I
tried to build BLACS/TESTING.
But thanks for the idea. At this point, I'm glad to have something new
to try.
